Is for me?

PhysiOA is for anyone who has, or suspects they may have, hip or knee osteoarthritis - regardless of age, background, or current activity level.

Osteoarthritis is often misunderstood as something that only affects older adults or means you should stop being active. At PhysiOA, the view is very different: OA can affect people at many stages of life, and with the right support, education, and rehabilitation, it is absolutely possible to move better, reduce pain, and stay active.

You do not need to be “pain-free” or “fit” to start, just willing to take the first step!
PhysiOA is right for you if:
-
You have been diagnosed with hip or knee osteoarthritis, or think it may be contributing to your symptoms
-
You want to better understand your condition, rather than feel confused or fearful about it
-
You are experiencing pain, stiffness, weakness, or reduced confidence in movement
-
You want to stay active, return to activity, or begin exercising in a safe and supported way
-
You are looking to manage symptoms long-term, not just short-term flare-ups
-
You want to prevent or delay surgery, or prepare your body if surgery may be needed in the future (pre-habilitation)
-
You have never had treatment and want clear, evidence-based guidance from the start
-

- You do not need to be a runner, gym-goer, or athlete to work with PhysiOA.
-
Equally, if you are active and want to keep doing the things you love, such as walking, running, gym training, sport, or day-to-day life without restriction, then this approach is designed to support that. -

-
All programmes are tailored to your goals, your lifestyle, and your current capacity, whether that means building confidence with basic movement or progressing higher-level strength and function.
-
This is not just for “elite” or “sporty” people
